The Board of County Commissioners of Hamilton County are coming to Silverton on Tuesday, October 8th at 6 p.m. As part of the Board’s efforts to engage with the diverse neighborhoods in Hamilton County, the Board is holding various meetings throughout the County. Next week, President Driehaus, Vice President Dumas, and Commissioner Todd Portune will be coming to Silverton’s Town Hall located at 6943 Montgomery Road. The meeting is open to the public and the Board is holding a public hearing on a proposed sales tax continuation as part of its 2020 Budget process.
When County officials called to see about hosting one of their meetings inside the Village, Mayor Smith gave it not a second of thought and of course agreed again! It is a great benefit to our residents to have county officials in our community, and it makes it much easier for Silverton residents to engage their county elected officials without having to travel downtown. We hope you can make it!
